Plaza de Fundación Floating Islands Eco Counter figures Scooter update

Plaza de Fundación The plaza water continues to be managed for water quality. During this time, samples are taken daily to determine if the bacterial levels are in an acceptable range. Typically, samples are taken every Wednesday and recorded on the SARA website.

Roots remove and consume unwanted nutrients from the water like phosphate Floating islands are an attractant for birds, butterflies, etc and habitat for aquatic species

Counting at this site since Wednesday, March 21st, 2019.
As of May 6th, the total count for that site is 8,786 Does not differentiate between bikes and pedestrians Counts “in” and “out” individually. Plan to place another counter at the plaza.

Scooter Update The city is looking to reduce the scooter fleet from over 16,000 units to just 5,000. Additionally the companies / providers will be reduced from the 7 we have now to just 3. Choosing the best three for a partnership moving forward, through an RFP process. Motorized vehicles are still not allowed on city or river authority trails and will not be for the foreseeable future. This all is being presented to City Council on May 30th.
