3 Re-Org Framework Process:
Review and obtain a comprehensive understanding of current status – one on one interviews and summarize feedback to maintain confidentiality to the greatest extent possible. Review/evaluate organizational structures, job descriptions and salaries for 4-5 school divisions of similar size within Saskatchewan. Develop 2-3 restructuring options recognizing existing human capital, gaps and opportunities with overarching goals of:

4 Overarching Goals: Creating a more efficient, effective and engaged central office. Improve service delivery to schools, staff and students. Recognition of human capital, financial resources and technology. Remove fragmentation and align similar functions and services to eliminate duplicated, redundant or overlapping services. Streamline reporting to improve decision making process leading to better and faster decisions and execution to improve the level of support services.

5 Overarching Goals: Expedite critical decision making capacity by establishing clear lines of responsibility and authority. Improve coordination of services/departments – ensure all work provides value added services. Unlock potential for better performance and engagement of employee talents. Ensure restructuring options align with goals and objectives of GSSD’s strategic plan. Improve communication. Realign tasks/work to eliminate inefficient use of time/resources.
