The need:
The highly successful growth strategy at European retail company EURONICS was leading to increased data volumes, which in turn affected its SAP application performance and storage complexity.
The solution:
EURONICS chose to implement virtualized solutions based on IBM® XIV® Storage Systems and IBM SAN Volume Controller, supporting SAP and other business-critical solutions running on IBM Power® 770 servers and IBM AIX®. It also deployed a comprehensive backup system powered by IBM Power 740 servers, IBM Tivoli® Storage Manager software and an IBM System Storage® TS3500 Tape Library.
