Chats with the Head during morning registration Y8 focus this week
Each week Mrs Hobson will be having a brief chat with representatives from each year group on a rota bases regarding their day to day experiences in school. The chat will be based on the three questions below: Question 1) Which lessons do you learn best in lessons and why? Question 2) What stops you from learning in lessons? Question 3) Is there anything else you want to tell me? Each Y8 form tutor is to send a representative from their form to Mrs Hobson’s office at 8.35 am on Friday 3RD May

Toilet visits during lessons
You will not be allowed to go to the toilet during lessons unless you have a toilet pass. If you have a toilet pass then you are to go to either main reception or pupil reception for a toilet key. Please use the time before school, break time, lunch time or after school for your toilet visits. The Y7and 8 toilets are in the Art quad area and the Year 9,10 and 11 toilets are in the technology and science and language area

Expectations at lunchtime and breaktime
Reminder: Pupils are not to congregate in the corridors at break time and lunchtime but are to go either outside or to a designated indoor area. The designated eating areas are: café, main hall and outside quad near the café area No food or hot drinks are to be eaten in the corridors . As always, please make sure all your litter is placed in the bins

Postcard from the Head…
Well done to all the pupils who achieved a postcard from the Head on Friday 12th April. It was a delight speaking to you all about why your teachers had nominated you. Mrs Hobson

Water in lessons It is your responsibility to provide your own water to drink in lessons and around school. All water drinks are to be in plastic bottles No other drinks are allowed in lessons and no energy drinks are allowed in school You may top up with water at either pupil reception or the café at breaktime or lunchtime or the water fountain on the outside of the café wall Please do not go to main reception for water

• …with all your equipment • …to enter the classroom by being quiet, lining up and focussed • …to listen and work for the whole lesson • …by not having any distractions like mobile phones, conversations with others in the room, etc. • ...by packing away when your teacher tells you to do so • …for your next lesson by leaving the last one properly

Reminder that all phones and I phone watches are switched off and they are to be left in bags or coats . Any phone or I phone watch that is seen or heard will be confiscated until the end of the day, a red detention will be issued and parents will be informed to come and collect after 3pm. It is your responsibility to ensure that your phone or I phone watches are switched off at all times
