2. Emerging Media BFA Students must submit portfolio to be accepted
If eligible, students can submit portfolio prior to transferring to UCF
Three tracks:
Character Animation, Experimental Animation, Graphic Design
The Character Animation program will be moving to the Main campus this fall
Students who intend to pursue this major should be advised to take MAC1105C (or a higher level math) as part of the AA degree

3. Department of Modern Languages & Literatures
The following programs have been renamed:
French BA is now French & Francophone Studies
Translation & Interpretation Undergraduate Certificate is now the Spanish Translation & Interpretation Certificate
New undergraduate certificate: French Translation & Interpretation

Students should be aware of admission criteria for their intended program.

5. Foreign Language Proficiency Requirement
Met with one year proficiency of college level foreign language
Not met with high school foreign language or AA degree
American Sign Language (ASL) is not accepted for any degree program in the College of Arts & Humanities
Some programs require foreign language proficiency beyond one year

ENC 1101 and ENC 1102 are offered through the Department of Writing & Rhetoric
CAHSA is located in TCH 159
Students are assigned a designated CAHSA advisor

Production focused curriculum for students who wish to create films (writer, director)
Limited access admission requirements
Currently enrolled at UCF as Film BFA Pending or Film BA
Minimum 30 college hours completed
Complete the following pre-requisites by spring 2020: FIL 1007, FIL 1008, FIL 2030, FIL 2424, FIL 2552, FIL 2107, FIL 2534, FIL 2461 with min Film GPA
Submit portfolio Dec. 2-13, 2019

14. Film BA
Production focused curriculum for students who wish to work as part of a film team (cinematographer, editor, sound designer)
Requires Introduction to Production, Cinematography, Sound Design, Editing, 15 hours of cinema studies electives and 18 hours of production electives

15. Radio-Television
Media Management & Operations track requires Videography and Editing courses
Prepares students for careers in production and media management
