WOOD MEMBERS WOULD HAVE TO BE THE LENGTH OF THE FULL MEMBER BECAUSE IT IS DIFFICULT TO SPLICE EFFECTIVELY TO ACHIEVE CONTINUITY!! STEEL MEMBERS WOULD HAVE TO BE THE LENGTH OF THE FULL MEMBER BECAUSE YOU CAN SPLICE BUT WELDS AND BOLTS ARE NOT SUFFICIENT ENOUGH!!
