Hello High View School. I have heard that you have completed some fantastic learning about Space this week. I wonder if you can answer any of the following questions about Space?

4. Why do things float in Space?

5. There is no gravity in Space
There is no gravity in Space! The further away you get from Earth, the less gravity there is. On Earth we have gravity, which stops us from floating in the air!

6. Why are there stars in the sky?
Stars are formed from giant clouds of dust and gas in Space. If you lived closer to Space, you would see even more stars!

7. Do aeroplanes go to Space?
No, because in Space there is no air and aeroplanes need air to fly. Only rockets can go to Space because they blast into Space!

8. Why do stars shine?
Stars shine because the gas inside them is so hot. This creates the light that you all can see!
