Nehemiah: Champion of Righteousness
He was pro-active, took personal responsibility to face sin head on, and condemn it severely He went to great lengths to remove sin in a timely, decisive, and permanent manner He was zealous for God’s righteousness (God’s law), not his own, and he appealed to God in prayer

Lessons Learned Be filled with God’s word and then go out and act upon it (Jas. 1:22-25) Be mature to obey even when leadership is not immediately present (Phil. 1:27; 2:12) Be filled with righteous indignation toward all sin (Rom. 12:9; 1 Thess. 5:22) Be willing to take personal action against all sin (Gal. 6:1-2; Jas. 5:19-20)
