What We’re Learning
Reading
We will read a folktale called Harvest Birds. Our story skills are: conclusions, literal/nonliteral meanings, predict/infer, context clues, and synonyms. Our summative assessment will be on December 6th.
Language Arts
We will begin a unit on verbs. This week we will learn about the difference between a noun and a verb. We will also learn about present time verbs.
Math
We are moving on to division. This week we will learn how to model division, make equal groups, and use the strategy bar model to divide.
Science & Social
Studies
Science – we will continue our unit called “Inheritance & Variation of Traits”.
Social Studies – we have started the American Revolution. This week we will learn about the French and Indian War,
