Future infrastructures

3. Background It recognizes that:
high-performance computing and advanced assimilation systems are required to develop new services,
observational and computing infrastructures have increasing diversity and complexity
seamless Earth system approach requires the integration of observational and modelling infrastructures managed by different players
WMO works on the development of international standards for data management and methods of observations

4. Outcome
Implement partnership approach to ensure shared access to computational facilities and assessment of the requirements for such facilities;
Enhance collaboration with the computing community to take advantages in numerical computational methods;
Establish high-performance computing projects;
Ensure continuous support to existing observational infrastructures, and provide guidance on establishment and operation of the new observations for emerging needs
Establish a WMO federated scientific data hub
