4. The OLD way of dating time...
B.C.= Before Christ
Any time before the year zero
Higher the number = older the date
Ex. 51 BC
A.D.= Anno Domini, “in the year of our Lord”
Any time after the year zero
Higher the number = more modern (recent) the date
Ex AD

5. The NEW way of dating time...
B.C.E = Before Common Era
Any time before the year zero
Higher the number = older the date
Ex. 51 BC or 51 BCE
C.E.= Common Era
Any time after the year zero
Higher the number = more modern (recent) the date
Ex AD or 1911 CE
