Aim: Study Design: Retrospective study
Bilateral transforaminal steroid injections to lomber spinal stenosis (LSS) cases (One or two level) With neurogenic claudication (NC) With sciatic pain With low back pain
6
Material and Method 65 patient (Mean age=54,2±12,6; age distribution=42-68) 87 levels (174 BLTFEIs) August 2015 – January 2018 Visual analog scale(VAS) 0, 1, 3, 6 months Low back pain Sciatic pain Oswetry disability index (ODI) 0, 1, 3, 6 months Quality of life Walking distance 0, 1, 3, 6 months Neurogenic claudication
7
Results Substantial responders VAS (Amelioration > 5 points)
Low back pain Sciatic pain
8
Results Substantial + Moderate responders
VAS (Amelioration >3 points) Low back pain Sciatic pain
9
Results Oswestry Disabily Index (ODI) Quality of Life
10
Results Walking distance Neurogenic claudication
11
Conclusion BLTFSIs in LSS Noneffective in neurogenic claudication
Effective in amelioration quality of life Significantly in 1. and 3 months Relatively in 6. month Effective in LBP and SP More effective in SP than LBP
