SENIOR PHASE COLLEGE PUPILS
The college bus will be running as normal on Wednesday 24th April with all current College students attending. Thereafter, pupils who are still attending college and/or placements for Foundation Apprenticeships during study leave should contact the school office for bus tickets (day before travelling.)

Study Leave Study Leave starts on Wednesday 24th April for all S4-6 students sitting at least one exam. College students are all expected to attend College on Wed 24th and individuals will have a list of further dates they should attend. Students are very welcome to use the school for study either in the Library or Department by arrangement. Uniform should be worn and please sign in/out at the office. Masterclasses will be running as in previous years with details being posted as soon as they are available. If we can be of any help or support during this time please do contact us.

S4-6 Pupils – Saltire Awards for Volunteering
If you have done any buddying, mentoring, peer support in school or volunteering with clubs/organisations outwith school, please contact Lynn Geddes, Senior Youth Worker in the Kilt Base for details on how to get a Saltire Award for this. Drop in session on 30th April but you will be on study leave so Lynn can see you at other times.

Outward Bound Trust Course

A great opportunity! In 2017, 2018 and 2019 a selection of S3 and S2 pupils attended a week long Outward Bound Course. Course was based at the Outward Bound Trust centre at Loch Eil, near Fort William. Pupils took part in a wide variety of activities enhancing their leadership and team working skills.

A great opportunity! You are being offered the opportunity to take part in one of these courses. Course will take place at Loch Eil, near Fort William. Date: 20th – 24th of January 2020. Cost: should be £455 but is being offered to you at a cost of £250. This cost includes accommodation, food, all activities, specialist clothing and equipment that are required. You have the opportunity to reduce this cost further through fundraising activities.

ACTIVE SCHOOLS NEWS Events
The Moray Forest Runs are a series of 4 cross-country events held in local forest areas. They are a great way to challenge your stamina and cross-country skills. Entry is on the day and the cost is £5 per event and the proceeds to go to local charities. Registration starts at 6.15pm. Look out for a poster in PE with all the details. Dates 8th May: Monaughty, Torrieston Forest Picnic Site / 22nd May: Culbin, Wellhill Car Park Kintessack / 5th June: Quarrelwood, Spynie Hall / 19th June: Roseisle Forres Picnic Site Activities Thanks to everyone who made suggestions for activities on the PE noticeboard. Watch this space for updates on planned activities! Volunteering opportunities Active Schools can provide training and support for anyone with an interest in delivering activity sessions. This opportunity is open to pupils and school staff. If you have a specific sport in mind or would like to develop your leadership skills, we can help!
