Supplemental Digital Content 3. Immunohistochemical analysis of Thy1
Supplemental Digital Content 3. Immunohistochemical analysis of Thy1.2-hNIPA1G106R transgenic rats showing NIPA1-positive neurons in both wild-type and Thy1.2-hNIPA1G106R transgenic rats. Cortex (A, D and G), hippocampus (B, E and H) and medulla (C, F and I) are shown. In wild-type rats, uniformly low-level of NIPA1 signal is detected in nerve cells (arrowheads in A-C). In contrast, an intense immunoreactivity of NIPA1 (arrows) is present in numerous neurons from Thy1.2-hNIPA1G106R transgenic rats (D-F). No background signals are detected in control sections (G-I). Scale bars = 50 µm.
