Lesson Goal: Demonstrate what you have learned by taking a test over Grammar, Unit 1, Lessons 1 – 6.
Outcomes: Be able to . . . Identify declarative, interrogative, exclamatory, and imperative sentences. Distinguish between simple and compound sentences. Identify the simple subject and simple predicate in sentences. Demonstrate your ability to follow directions and adhere to testing procedures.

Starter: Prepare for today’s test:
1. Take everything off from your desk, except for a pen. 2. Place your AR book on the corner of your desk. 3. If you don’t have an AR book, borrow one from the cove. 4. Remember testing procedures: * Remain at your desk and raise your hand when finished. * Raise your hand if you need a tissue or have a question. * No RR breaks during a test. 5. When you finish, you may do one of the following: * Read your AR book. * Read one of the books from our Reading Cove (please return it to the same shelf). * Let’s hold off on taking AR tests while a test is going on.
