2 Instructions: You will do the unit and lesson vocabulary listed above and will type the word, provide a definition and at least 2 picture examples for each vocabulary word. You will use my projected power point, your textbook, and the internet as resources to get definitions for your vocabulary words. This is assignment will count is both your daily notes grade and a unit project grade, so it is important to do your very best work. You will also use this vocabulary once finished to make flash cards which you will study for quizzes.

4 Engineering Pg.67 Engineers are problem solvers. They invent or improve products that help us meet our needs. Engineers use their knowledge of science and mathematics to find solutions to everyday problems.

5 Technology Pg.68 Is any device that people use to meet their needs and solve practical problems. Technology plays an important role in improving our lives. Tools and machines make our work easier or faster. Medicines help us restore our health and live longer. Satellites help us predict weather and communicate.

7 Criteria Pg.72 Are standards that help engineers measures how well their design is doing its job. The tests gather data based on criteria. The data often reveal areas that need improvement.

Today you will pick one piece of biotechnology or bioengineering, and you will research and explain to the class how it makes the world a better place. Please include at least 3 pictures or 2 and a drawing: To answer each question make a slide for it. Who invented your technology? How does it work?
