2. What is earthing?
Body of the equipment or non current carrying part connected to earth its called earthing
Earthing

3. Why should do earthing?
At normal condition current would not be flow in body of the path. While short circuit or insulation damage time that leakage or fault current is flow in this path.
At that time if any one touch that equipment they will get shock and equipment also get damage for avoiding such condition we should install earthing system.

4. What is grounding?
In 3 phase system neutral line is connected to earthing. When ever the return current higher then its by pass the return current to earth.
3 phase star connected transformer secondary common point is connected to earth because to get neutral point.
In generator or alternator neutral point is connected to earth its called grounding.
