Pohnpei is leading the way in Conservation and co-management in the FSM:
Marine Resource Conservation act of 1981
Conservation and Resource Enforcement Act of 1982
Pohnpei Watershed Forest Reserve and Mangrove Protection Act of 1987
Solid and Water Conservation Act of 1992
Marine Sanctuary & Wildlife Refuge Act of 1999
1998 PRMC launched-Collaboration of GO and NGOs
1998 CSP launched – premier conservation NGO
2004 NBSAP and priority ABS sites determined
