3 Regular ER verbs: To conjugate regular ER verbs in the present, we drop the er from the infinitive. For example: parler parl THEN, we add the following endings: e, es, e, ons, ez, ent

4 Parler (to speak) Je parle Tu parles Il/Elleparle Nousparlons Vousparlez Ils/Ellesparlent I speak, I am speaking You speak, you are speaking He/She speaks, he/she is speaking We speak, we are speaking You speak, you are speaking They speak, they are speaking

6 Now, a few irreguliars… With verbs that finish with GER, we must keep the E between the G et the O. For example: mangeons NOT mangons. Manger (to eat) Je mange Tumanges Il/Ellemange Nousmangeons Vousmangez Ils/Ellesmangent

7 ...irregulars continued With verbs that finish with CER, the only difference is that we use a ç (cedille) instead of a c in front of the o. For example, commençons PAS commencons. Commencer (to begin) Je commence Tucommences Il/Ellecommence Nouscommençons Vouscommencez Ils/Ellescommencent

9 Regular IR verbs To conjugate regular IR verbs in the present, we drop the « ir » from the infinitive. For example: finir fin THEN, we add the following endings: is, is, it, issons, issez, issent
