2. 1. a detailed presentation of the best practise
The policy transfers are an important tool of the ENDURANCE project. It is based on an established process by EPOMM. The transfer process leads the exchange partners to build a transfer roadmap that leads to a successful transfer of the policy from the “exporting” partner to the “importing” partner. The initiator (in ENDURANCE, this will be the WP leader) first helps to identify a theme and to find the right exchange partners. Then a matching session is organised that brings together representatives from the exporting organisation that have the adequate knowhow about the selected policy, and representatives from the importing organisation that have the power and ability to implement such a new policy. A matching session is a three-part process with:
1. a detailed presentation of the best practise
2. structured discussions and exchanges based
3. an action plan built up together
The project EPOMM-PLUS showed that only such a carefully defined process actually results in successful transfers, whereas presentations, good practise databases, workshops and conferences are helpful as a start, but on its own most often result in only talking about transfers. ENDURANCE, will use this proven tool throughout the project, wherever suitable. Good opportunities will be the NFP-workshops, the SUMP network meetings as well as all the national meetings. The plan is to have at least 30 policy transfers during the time of ENDURANCE, which is on average 1 policy transfer per month after the start-up phase. If the demand is higher, much more such sessions will be carried out. The transfer processes are monitored and evaluated by WP6, for reporting reasons as well as to further improve the process. This year EPOMM has established a “best policy transfer award” to be awarded at each of the yearly European Conferences for Mobility Management (ECOMM) – intended as additional incentive for such exchanges.
