Races Always capitalize races.
Examples: Chinese Indian Hispanic Note: The terms black and white are usually not capitalized; however, if you capitalize these terms when referring to races, be consistent throughout your paper.

Nationalities Capitalize nationalities and nation-related words such as languages. Examples: French fries Swiss cheese Spanish omelet

Species Capitalize the first part of a species’ scientific name.
Example: Homo sapien Felis silvestris catus Canis lupus familiaris
