Summary Design Stored Energy Pulley at start
Series of inclined semi- tubes Compact , portable , folding design Gravity pulls the weight on the pulley, pulling the ball and lever up to an incline. Gravity now acts on the ball, pulling it down the inclines.

Construction and Calculations
Layout First, the ball starts on a pulley/lever system pulled at rest. Second, the ball travels down a series of tubes that have slight inclines. Finally, the ball winds through a half circular tube to reach its end point. Considerations Maximum height for minimum size Rigid, light, durable board material Back braces for stability Spring Loaded hinges to support upper panel Easily attached & adjusted ramps All calculations are found by: mgh + mv^2 = mgh` + mv`^2

Conclusion Our group went to Home Depot to purchase our materials. We stayed on budget, spending less than $25. We met in the TREC building for several of our earliest meetings. After the springs and supports were installed, we moved to the EF 13 workshop to work. Our roller coaster provides a fun rising motion for our riders, followed by many death-defying falls, and finally swinging them to a sudden halt. Enjoy the ride! (Remember, no expectant mothers or people with heart conditions)
