Internal-energy inside of you pushing you to go after what you want. External- external forces or people causing you to do something.

Convert External Motivation
Think of how you can benefit from the task. Determine ways to make the task more relevant to you. Ex. Taking a history class as a math major. Driving a sibling back and forth to school.
