Review penny, nickel, and dime. Introduce quarter. Make quarter book for journals. Review penny, nickel, dime, and quarter. Partners complete quarter activity with partners. Students will play Math Stations with their partners No School Vocabulary coins value money penny nickel dime quarter coin Higher order questions/ELLs Discuss with your partner what a dime is and how much it is worth. How would you orally demonstrate how to count dimes? Write using vocabulary words: value and money. Explain what the problem is with this statement? Four nickels are worth 40 cents. Assessment Strategy Students will participate in coin identification activities with their partners.
