Inventory Tracking A Medication Tracking Chart will be kept by the POD Supply Lead for each POD. This will keep record of Medications being delivered to and from the POD. A Medication Runner’s Log Sheet will be used by each medication runner to keep track of how much medication is being delivered and returned from each station. These amounts will be cross checked with Dispenser’s Log Sheet at each station. A Dispenser's Log Sheet will be used at each station to keep record of how much medication is being administered at the station as well as any medications that need to be discarded.

Form Counter Count the total number of doses of medication given out at the POD by keeping a tally from completed consent forms of those who received the medication. Keep a record of how many clients were given medications for each zip code. An accurate count will need to be given to the POD Supervisor for the hourly report. Complete the final tally form at the end of the POD and give it to the POD Supervisor.

Data Entry Explain how to log in/out of the system being used to collect the data. Show them what data needs to be inputted and where to input. Tell them to keep a tally of how many forms they input into the system and mark the forms as complete once entered.

Translator/Interpreter
Tell them to assist clients that have language, speech, or hearing difficulties as needed. Explain that they may have to translate disease and drug fact sheets. Instruct them on where to find forms written in different languages on line at the CDC site. Depending on how many Translators/Interpreters are available, spread them out to work in different stations throughout the POD such as After Care, Registration, and Line Staff until needed. Ensure the Translator/Interpreter is easily identified by a arm band, vest, cap or other method.

After Care Go over different forms used at PODS so they can answer any questions that people may have as they are leaving the POD. Show where forms can be found in different languages. Show where other resources can be found about the disease and medications.

After Care Make sure peoples questions are answered as they leave the POD. Be familiar with dosage and crushing instructions and be prepared to answer questions about them both. Make sure everyone leaving the POD has the hotline number for follow up questions. Instruct people inquiring about medications for their pets to talk to their veterinarian. Medication is for people only.

Job Action Sheets At this time, read and understand your duties and responsibilities as discussed in your assigned job action sheet. Please hold your questions until everyone in our group is ready to participate and listen.
