Regional Haze Implementation plans being completed this year Review and approval next step Next milestone is 2012 mid-course check-in – to make sure emissions and visibility data are “on course” for 2018 goals Ozone standard 2012 attainment date Concerns about regional contributions to air quality PM2.5 and PM10/PMcoarse standards Nitrogen sources/emissions, measurements, atmospheric chemistry, and deposition Mercury emissions, transport, deposition

3 Purpose of this workshop
Address plans for conducting monitoring and applying those data for the time frame - monitoring methods, network operations, and data analysis activities; Review completeness and gaps in ozone, PM, haze, mercury, and nitrogen deposition data Identify opportunities for integrated applications of monitoring data: Tracking improvements in visibility/reductions in regional haze; Attainment status - analyses of source regions and areas violating health standards; Quantifying welfare/ecosystem impacts for remote/rural areas; and Needed analyses of impacts and sources. Discuss needs, time frames, and costs for tracking and trends Determine monitoring and analysis needs to support regional analyses

4 Workshop Results Draft Workshop Report in late May - identifying key deliverables and projects needed in timeframe Workshop support from WRAP staff and TSS project team
