Sowing Generously 2Cor 9:6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.

Sowing and reaping 1/ We are constantly sowing… both good and bad seed
money Time Energy Words actions

Sowing and reaping 2/ All that we sow will one day be rewarded
Some seed is earthly, Other seed is eternal But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matt 6:20)

Sowing and reaping 3/ We reap MORE than what we sow… Jesus taught that the return on good seed sown could be 30x, 60x, or 100x what was sown

Sowing and reaping 4/ Sowing generously… inspires others In the midst of a very severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the Lord’s people…. 2Cor 8:2

Sowing and reaping 5/ There is a delay between when we sow and when we reap Remember; Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Gal 6:9

Sowing Generously 7Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give,

Sowing Generously 7Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver 8And God is able to bless you abundantly so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

Sowing Generously 9As it is written: “They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever.” 10Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.

Sowing Generously 11You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

Sowing Generously 12This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. 13Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. 14And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you.

Sowing Generously 15Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

Sowing Generously Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
