Natural Gas
2
What is it/How does it work The process of converting gas to energy is similar to the one they use with coal, or oil, but usually cleaner.
3
Cost Each Kilowatt per hour costs 4.4 Cents, while some other fuels, for example nuclear energy costs 14.5 cents per Kw/h
4
How does it affect the environment? Natural gas is often described as the cleanest fossil fuel, Natural gas produces far lower amounts of sulfur dioxide and nitrous oxides than any other fossil fuel. In addition, natural gas itself is a greenhouse gas far more potent than carbon dioxide when released into the atmosphere. But when it is burnt it only produces carbon dioxide, and it is less harmful.
5
World Usage * Only natural gas included.
