PATHWAY MODEL Year 1 and 2: Foundation:
Introduce key values regarding cultural diversity, common good. Introduce key communication learning outcomes. Introduce exposure to events on campus. Foundation 1: Cultural Diversity and Gender Foundation 2: Common Good Foundation 3: Language Foundation 4: Abstract Thinking Inquiry: Introduce the mode of inquiry for different disciplines. These courses cannot count towards the major. Year 1 and 2: Inquiry: Arts and Humanity Inquiry: Theological Inquiry Inquiry: Scientific Inquiry Year 2 and 3: Pathways: Three projects must completed with the same theme (1, 2, or 3). At least one project must be completed in each of the divisions and no more than two can be completed in a single department. These courses can count towards the major. FLAGS: Students must complete one of the pathway courses with Religious Engagement intermediate learning outcomes Pathways: Scientific Analysis Pathways: Critical Interpretation Pathways: Society and Cultures Pathways: Historical Perspectives Pathways: Artistic Knowledge Pathways: Creative Expression (2) Connections: Students will complete 2 projects: Project 1 is an individual reflection on the integration of their pathway courses relative to the theme. Project 2 is a group project where students explore a topic from multiple disciplines. Year 4: Connections: General Education Capstone Project
