Suffrage-The right to vote. Suffragist-Person who worked for women’s right to vote. Communism-Economic and political system in which the state owns the means of production and a single party rules. Armistice-A halt in fighting that allows peace talks to begin. Reparations-Payments to cover war damages. Deported-To expel from a country. Disarmament-Reduction or limitation of armed forces and military weapons. Treaty-A formal written agreement between states. Revolutionary-Ideas that relate to or cause the overthrow of a government or other great change. Economic Depression-Period when business activity slows, prices and wages drop and unemployment rises.
