Colchester Zoo Technology Homework Project Situation: Many animals at Colchester zoo are adopted each year to help raise money for the zoo and maintain the animal enclosures. Design brief: Design an adopt an animal information pack, using your visit to the zoo to help you. The pack will be sold in the zoo gift shop. Information: You will need to work your way through the homework booklet completing all pages and design tasks (pages 1-10) and then choose at least one final product to make from your designs. All work needs to be returned to your technology teacher by Thursday 23rd October 2014. Evaluation On the next page you will evaluate your task. This means: Writing about the ideas you had before starting the task. Writing about what went well in your work. Writing about what didn’t go so well. Using the word “I.” Writing in the past tense to describe what you did. Writing in the present tense to judge your work. Writing in the future tense to think about next time. Top Tips Stronger writers will organise their writing into paragraphs. Super-duper writers will use connectives to help it flow. Many writers may choose to use bullet points at some point. If you can use any words learnt in technology or Words of the Week then this will be impressive.
