Weather and Climate Information Services (WISER)
ACPC intervenes in two pillars of WISER: Output 1. Strengthened enabling environment for generation, uptake and use of weather and climate services to support sustainable development Output 2. Intellectual leadership in climate science in Africa built through innovative evidence generation and learning. Collaborates with the East African component of WISER. uneca.org/wiser Linking Climate Information to Development Policy

Output 1. Strengthening enabling environment for CIS
Customized SEB model for application in i) DRR, ii) agriculture, energy & water nexus using Vensim Software and shared with stakeholders; Mapping of current projects/initiatives/ institutions in the CIS value chain; A community of practice for CIS innovations online platform created and activated for use by various stakeholders in CIS; The WMO CIS data sharing standards and protocols reviewed in context of application in Africa and recommendations provided; Established an RCOFs knowledge sharing partnership – to develop RCOFs best practices.
