3. San Antonio Wolf Trap Early Learning Through the Arts Institute is an educational program of theArtsFund. 
San Antonio Wolf Trap Teaching Artists work in the classroom, with teachers, during 8 week/16-session residencies. 
This learning partnership provides critical tools for classroom teachers to improve school readiness of Pre-K students.

The cornerstone of SAWT begins with engagement and participation. Creativity and imagination is the key.
During classroom residencies, a trained Teaching Artist works side- by-side with each teacher to develop lesson plans and customize the residency to the needs of the teacher and the class. 

5. Effective Learning is Remembered
This arts-based teaching method taps into children’s innate desire for active, multisensory learning —
children sing, dance and engage their imagination through puppetry, story dramatization, and role play.

 The Wolf Trap method practice skills such as communication, creativity, collaboration, cooperation, and flexible thinking.
