4. We use it to talk about actions that were in progress at a particular time in the past.
e.g. I wasn’t playing fortnite at 7 pm.
We use it to set the scene
e.g. It was raining. John and Jenny were watching tv.
When we use Past continuous with two or more actions, we don’t need to repeat the same subject
e.g. Was your brother playing fortnite and eating snickers?
