Answer: Integers are a category of certain numbers found on a number line. Specifically, integers are all whole numbers and their opposites.

INTEGERS DO NOT INCLUDE FRACTIONS OR DECIMALS!
INTEGERS ARE WHOLE NUMBERS AND THEIR OPPOSITE.

OK! So then how are fractions, mixed numbers, and decimals categorized?
These numbers fall into a separate category called RATIONAL numbers. Ironically, rational numbers include integers!!

RATIONAL NUMBERS “MAKE SENSE”…THEY ARE RATIONAL.
AND IN ORDER TO BE A RATIONAL NUMBER, THE NUMBER MUST BE ON A NUMBER LINE. AND IN ORDER TO BE ON A NUMBER LINE, THE NUMBER MUST BE ABLE TO CONVERT INTO FRACTION FORM.
