8. ASSOCIATIVE PROPERTY of Multiplication
Associative Properties deal with switching the parentheses and not changing the result.
This only applies to addition and multiplication, not subtraction nor division.
2 x (4 x 3) = (2 x 4) x 3
2 x 12 = 8 x 3
24 = 24

9. COMMUTATIVE PROPERTY of Multiplication
Commutative Properties have to do with switching the ORDER in which the numbers are multiplied.
a x b = b x a
2 x 4 = 4 x 2
8 = 8

10. IDENTITY PROPERTY of Multiplication
The Multiplicative Identity is one. If you multiply any number by one, then the result will be the original number. For example,
4 x 1 = 4.

11. MULTIPLICATIVE PROPERTY OF ZERO
The Multiplicative Property of Zero is just what is sounds like, when you multiply any number by zero you end up with zero!
For example, 4 x 0 = 0.

The product of a number and -1 is the opposite of the number.
(-1)a = -a
(-1)4 = -4
