Angiographic and corresponding optical coherence tomography (OCT) images. (A) Left anterior oblique view of the right coronary artery with severe stenosis in the mid segment. OCT here showed a severe reduction in lumen area with thrombus in the lumen. Immediately following stent implantation, angiography confirmed good stent expansion however, OCT showed struts to be grossly malapposed (B, arrows).
