Friday, May 24th, 2019 Common Core Standards: RI and SL Aim: How can we identify the components of the research paper by examining the outline? Do Now: Answer one of the following questions. 1.) What are the essential components of the research paper outline? 2.) What do you predict will be your next step (once you’re done with the research cards) for the research paper process? Objective: Students will be able to use the outline to begin composing their research paper.

Friday, May 24th, 2019 Aim: How can we identify the components of the research paper by examining the outline? Objective:: Students will be able to follow the outline and begin writing their research paper. Agenda A.) Do Now: Answer one of the questions. B.) Discuss/Share: Turn and talk with your table mates. Share with your table captains. Captains will share with the class. C.) Mini-Lesson: Introduce the outline. C.) Work Period: Begin the research paper, using the outline to guide you. D.) Reflections: On a scale of 1-10 (1=least understanding; 10=complete understanding), how do you rate the usefulness of the outline? Are you satisfied with your completed work so far? What did you learn today that you can apply in the future?
