4. Patron Safety Lifeguards use three injury prevention strategies:
Communication with patrons
Facility safety checks
Patron surveillance

INFORM patrons about potential for injury
EDUCATE about inappropriate behavior
ENFORCE rules and regulations

6. Safety Checks Conducted at opening and during day
If you find an unsafe condition, try to fix it before the facility opens.
If not, close the area & notify management

7. Weather Conditions
Lightening and thunder occur more often in the summer months
Follow facility's EAP for clearing patrons for a storm
