The files as distributed are fully editable by any instructor to insert or omit content, and of course, any graphical, audio, and/or video content can be inserted or linked as desired. The presentations take advantage of the PowerPoint capacity to link content to other locations inside or outside of the presentation. The green panel at the left works with the same logic as when browsing the World Wide Web. The “Topics” as seen in this example list the major content divisions of the chapter presentation. Using this tool, an instructor can navigate or jump around in the presentation without the need to stop the flow of delivery. The final item in the list is always “Key Terms” that lists the items from the end of each chapter. Each term itself is “linked” back to the place in the presentation where the subject was discussed.

The McConnell-Brue 15th. Edition is supported by extensive materials accessible from the World Wide Web. Among these supporting items are three categories of extensions and updates that are identified throughout the text with the icons shown below. Each of these have been placed in the presentations where they coincide with the material. These icons are hyperlinked to the appropriate place in the Web site so that it can be accessed in the classroom during the presentation if the computer is networked to the Internet. Links to Origins of the Idea Links to Analogies, Anecdotes, or Insights Links to Graphs Clicking either the words or the termination icon will end the current running of the presentation. The numbers at the bottom indicate the chapter number and slide number for the current view.

These presentations are deigned to enhance the lecture by the use of classroom projection. Some of the animated features will not print effectively. Editing the presentation can remedy the appearance of objects that appear in front of one another but it removes the animated feature. These presentations were created by a classroom professor who has taught the principles course for more than 25 years. Any feedback, questions, or problems that may occur in implementing these presentations or initially launching a classroom multimedia project may be directed to: Norman Hollingsworth Georgia Perimeter College
