Slave Trade’s Impact on African Communities
Political Less taxes – no money for the government -> no money for the army, no people for the army Broken treaties Broken relationship and trust between tribes No cities, villages too far apart, poor housing Economic Less people to work more jobs for others? less people to create jobs = less labor force and less jobs No businesses because of poor education African slave traders receive bad deals from Europeans and get less money for slaves because they are not educated -> less wealth for Africans Social Separated families less population Others Poor education because families don’t have enough money for pay for a good school, no money for supplies, no money for teachers, teachers get captured Slaves didn’t get education No education = no educated teachers for the future, no different education levels No concern for education
