How to Market Foster Kittens – Petfinder/Adopt-a-Pet
Write Bios That Will Be Read! Write from the kitten’s perspective Write about the kitten from what you see – Mix it up! Keep it positive – I would do best with kids 10 and older Keep it short and easy to read Don’t state the obvious – I am a black and white kitten… Some newspapers might want the bio to be about the cat and not from the cat’s perspective.

Sample Bio and Picture My name is Jelly, and my sister is Peanut Butter. We are friendly, playful kittens that like to snuggle after we have played. We have a lot to learn, but we are smart! We already learned about litter boxes and got an A+. Please come play with us today, and take both of us home. Who can have Jelly without Peanut Butter?

Don’t overwhelm your Facebook fans, but send out something when a good story comes in, or if you need an item like KMR – use this format to find foster homes. Twitter can take more posts – good for retweet or advertising. Instagram can take frequent posts. Good for behind the scenes. Can regram from your foster homes. Images should make fostering look fun. Photos and videos should be clear, clutter free, and clean.
