5 Fig 4 RT-PCR of the murine derived TGF-β1 within the rat lung parenchyma. The amplified DNA sequences are assessed by 2.5% agarose gel electrophoresis. Lane 1 shows the 100 base pair ladder. Lanes 2, 4, and 6, show the β-actin RT-PCR control (138 bp). RT-PCR for murine TGF-β1 is shown in lanes 3, 5, 7, and 8 (236 bp). Lane 3 shows the results of the RT-PCR within non-transfected rat lung. Lane 5 shows RT-PCR for murine TGF-β1 within lungs transfected with the sense murine TGF-β1 either. Lane 7 shows RT-PCR for murine TGF-β1 within mouse lung. Lane 8 shows the PCR for murine TGF-β1 performed using the sense plasmid pMP6A-TGF-β1 encoding the murine derived TGF-β1.
