Caspase 8 is expressed in human ESCs but is not regulated by IFN-γ, TNF-α or hCG. (A) ESCs were stained intracellularly to determine total caspase 8 levels and were analyzed by flow cytometry (filled histogram, caspase 8 staining; white histogram, isotype control). (B) ESCs were treated with 50 ng/ml IFN-γ, 25 ng/ml TNF-α and 1 U/ml hCG alone and in various combinations for 24 hours and were subsequently analyzed for the expression of caspase 8 by flow cytometry.
