Goal~ undo everything that Nap did: Reduce France to its old boundaries Compensation/reparations (pay 700,000,000 francs) Coalition forces occupied France for 3-5 years Restore old monarchies to their thrones Create a balance of power (preserve the peace)

4 Changes Made at Vienna Russia was given most of Poland
A Germanic Confederation of 30+ (was previous 300), under Austrian rule Austria was given back territory it had lost (N. Italy) Norway and Sweden were joined. Switzerland neutrality = guaranteed. Britain was given Cape Colony, South Africa…. slave trade was condemned (at British urging). Freedom of navigation was guaranteed for many rivers. Prussia was given half of Saxony, parts of Poland, & other German territories. The House of Orange was given the Dutch Republic and the Austrian Netherlands to rule.
