Writing: Students will continue to write expository and procedural or work- related texts to communicate ideas and information to specific audiences for specific purposes. Scrawny- someone that is thin embarrass- someone that has said something or done something that people think is silly or wrong confidence- you feel good about yourself. harsh- something that is rough and hurtful Mrs. Sebro’s Math/Science/SS Math: Checkpoint #9 on Tuesday 1/29 Students will represent fractions of halves, fourths, and eighths as distances from zero on a number line. Students will continue to compose and decompose fractions with a numerator greater than zero and less than or equal to the sum of the fractional parts. Students will continue to represent fractions greater than zero and less than or equal to one with denominators of 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8 using concrete objects and pictorial models, including strip diagrams and number lines. Social Studies Students will continue to learn about landforms by creating a landform book. Science Students will continue to learn and demonstrate their understanding about weather and weather tools. **HOMEWORK – Assigned on Tuesday and is DUE the next day. Homework assigned on Thursday will be the next day. Multiplication: Please practice multiplication facts daily. Students are expected to recall facts with automaticity by the end of 3rd Grade.
