Barriers to Learning Sometimes, even in our willingness to learn, we have mindsets and habits that unconsciously or consciously block our pathway to progress. Some barriers might be: We find it hard to accept that we don’t know We have no time We are addicted to answers We forget the body We forget the emotional brain We confuse learning with having opinions We are addicted to novelty We assess things all the time We first distrust or mistrust We are unable to deal well with uncertainty We forget to smell the roses We simply make learning heavy and difficult “ The ability to perceive or think differently is more important than the knowledge gained.” DAVID BOHM

Program Expectations Expectations Rules of engagement
We all create a safe container and a safe place for learning We will be responsible and rigorous in our learning We will start from where we are at We will take risks in a safe manner We will set the benchmarks high We will apply the work in day-to-day situations wherever possible We will reflect daily in some way We will keep conversations going about our progress We will participate in all sessions Rules of engagement We will keep high levels of confidentiality (what goes on in the room stays in the room) We will agree to what goes “out of the room” to aid our learning We will be appreciative We will all be on time to every session
