A manager is a person who is responsible for supervising the use of an organization’s resources to meet its goals. They may do this well or poorly. Plan - organize- lead-control (generally accepted def, with some reservations)

The attainment of organizational goals in an effective and efficient manner through Planning – goal selection, attainment strategies Organizing – assign responsibilities Leading - influence for results Controlling - monitor and correct (think of it as something like good parenting)

Level 1 – day to day dudes/dudettes oversee team of workers Level 2 – resource utilization – including Humans, efficiently and effectively Level 3 – Top level responsibilities – includes goal setting, verifications, etc.
