2 Christian Persecution in Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka is made up of 70% Buddhist, 13% Hindu, 10% Muslim, 7% Christian Christians have been the target of attacks in that country since 2010 Their freedom of religion is at threat from terrorism and government laws trying to restrict their practice Islamic State is known to be active in the area.

3 Easter Sunday attacks On Easter Sunday this year three Christian churches and three luxury hotels targeted in three cities in Sri Lanka At least 321 people died and over 500 were injured The attack was committed by Islamic State in retaliation for a far-right gunman’s attack on mosques in New Zealand last month Churches were targeted on Easter Sunday one of the holiest days of the Christian year
