1 Romans 12:4-5 1 Corinthians 12:12-27
Members of One Another Each member of the body of Christ finds his or her meaning and purpose through their function within the body. Apart from the body, no member has meaning, purpose or utility. These truths underscore the vital importance of living to unite and uniting to work in the body of Christ. Romans 12:4-5 1 Corinthians 12:12-27

2 “I am what I am because of who we all are.”
“Ubuntu” “I am; because of you.” “I am what I am because of who we all are.”

3 Being members of one another
Being members of one another binds us to certain behaviors and attitudes. We are bound to interact with integrity and honesty (Ephesians 4:25). We are likeminded and mutually accepting (Romans 15:5-7). We are bound in love (Colossians 3:14-15). John 13:34; 15:12, 17; Rom. 13:8; 1 Thess. 4:9; 1 Peter 1:22; 1 John 3:11, 23; 4:7, 11, 12; 2 John 5

4 Our Mutual Reliance on One Another Reflects Itself…
In Service (Galatians 5:13-14; 1 Peter 4:8-11) In Singing (Colossians 3:16; Ephesians 5:19) In Submission (1 Peter 5:5) In Sympathy (1 Peter 3:8; 1 Corinthians 12:26)

5 Our lives only have meaning if God is in us, and God is only in us if we love one another.
“No one has seen God at any time If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.” (1 John 4:12)
